The exciting conclusion of the 2018 L.E.D. season has arrived! This year's Dick's Super Game features (I think) two teams making their debut to the league's championship game.
DICK'S SUPER GAME VII: Dirty Skiveys @ Player Haters
This is a match up of two teams that are pretty close in strength. However, the Dirty Skiveys are limping into the championship game with injuries to key players. Todd Gurley and JuJu Smith-Schuster are both expected to be game time decisions, but both are being depended on to provide points in bunches.
Coach VanSkiver definitely has the more star studded bunch of running backs. However the Haters backs are offering consistency -- something that is very valuable this time of year. The emergence of Nick Chubb and Marlon Mack have been huge additions for the Haters. The Haters continue to wisely use RB/TE Jaylen Samuels to bolster points in a decimated TE landscape. The Dirty Skiveys have a slight edge in the WR group with Mike Evans joining Smith-Schuster. The Skiveys also have the better quarterback in Andrew Luck. While Gurley is the only major star in this game, there are a lot of boom-or-bust players on in this game on both teams. However, I believe the previously mentioned consistency is key here and will decide the winner. Having said that, this writer is no longer doubting or "hating" on this squad. I've eaten plenty of crow this season. WINNER: Player Haters
THE PRINCESS CUP: Grizzly Adams Beards @ Huge Hefner
The best part of this match up is that these two teams had a lot of influence on the creation of the Princess Cup. Russ was the brainchild behind the idea of dressing up as a princess for a punishment. Drew was the one that fought to expand the tournament -- which directly put his team at a disadvantage. These two men deserve our thanks. Not only for improving the league, but for establishing what I hope is a long standing tradition in this league. No matter the outcome of this game, championship weekend is much sweeter knowing one of your good buddies is going to wear the prettiest dress ever. WINNER: The other 11 members of the L.E.D.
