So, I made a pretty big mistake...

I'm willing to bet a good portion of the L.E.D. is in this league for the potential bragging rights. For a whole year, being able rub it in the faces of your friends and rivals. It's pretty awesome! But winning a title also has an added bonus of $200 winnings (Christmas money anyone?). A chance to win the grand prize is awesome, but an opportunity to win your money back isn't so bad either. But what really sucks is when you're denied your chance to win any of that money. This isn't your ordinary office fantasy football league, but in the end -- it's still just fantasy football. However, you guys have placed your trust in me to run a clean, fun, and fair fantasy league. In return, I need to be transparent with all or you and let you know that I discovered last week that I made a TERRIBLE oversight last season.

All this week I've been trying to remind you all of the criteria in which the playoff seeds will be formulated. Per Article IX.I.a of the L.E.D. bylaws, “Playoff seedings will be decided by (1)overall record, then (2)division record, and finally (3)points forced”. On 11/28/18, after reordering the current 2018 playoff seeds, it was discovered that 2017 playoff bracket did not follow the guidelines in per Article IX.I.a. As a result, Cam Newton's Law and Cris Carter's Fall Guys should not have made the playoffs. Upon further review, Player Haters should have been the #5 seed and All Dem TD's should have been the #6 seed.

I have already contacted Matt and Dex regarding this oversight and given them some small reparations because they weren't allowed to compete in the 2017. Would the playoff have turned out any different? --- we will never know for sure. Maybe Dex or Matt make some moves the week of and take Sarah out the first round. Maybe nothing changes and Sarah was destined for the title (I like to believe this given the Eagles' season). Either way, it's pretty crappy that they were denied on something I overlooked.

Russ told me that I'm overreacting a bit. And in all honesty -- I probably am. There are bigger priorities in our lives that fantasy football. However, I wanted to be transparent with you guys. I'm the one that pushed to install divisions and I'm the one that is responsible for the money. I should have paid more attention. I'm sorry I messed up on this one, guys. I'll take this as a learning lesson and hope nothing like this will happen again. I will take this opportunity and advise you to read the L.E.D. bylaws (www.led336.com/bylaws). Maybe next time someone will catch an error before I do.
