I hope all of you are having a wonderful Christmas holiday! I'll keep this preview short and sweet.
It's the beginning of the end for a truly memorable 2017 season!
After a grueling 15 weeks in the regular season, these two divisions champions are left standing alone; both looking to cross the finish line. We've got a got a good one here, folks. L.E.D. Super Game VI is going to be a slug fest. Chicken Little Flea Flicker @ Huge Hefner
Two of the leagues best teams all season long collide to decide who takes home the crown for the 2017 season. WILL STUDS BE ENOUGH?: As previously mentioned, the L.E.D. is on the brink of having it's first dynasty. Russ Alkire (Huge Hefner) is playing for his third title is 6 years. What's scary is that Ezekiel Elliot is making his return to lead a team that features Rob Gronkowski and LeSean McCoy. All three of these fantasy studs are "must starts", but they all face tough games this week. Elliot faces a stout run defense in Seattle (admittedly, Todd Gurley may have broken their spirit last week), McCoy faces a resurgent New England defense, and statistically, Tom Brady doesn't play well the last 3 weeks of the fantasy season, so Gronk has to deal with that. Add that with the fact that Ben Roethlisberger doesn't have Antonio Brown this week. Sounds like a review that the Grinch would give, right? Well let's put a positive spin on it. Russ' faith and proactive roster moves throughout the season have landed him in the championship with a roster full of fantasy football's elite. These are guys that must be played despite unfavorable tilts, as they can (and often do) exceed or meet projections. Russ has been waiting to play this roster all season. They have the capability to break records.
RUNNING THROUGH THE COMPETITION: Todd Gurley proved last week why he is earning my vote for the 2017 Fantasy MVP. Single-handedly destroying the once great Seattle defense in a huge performance to help the Rams take over sole possession in the NFC West. Kareem Hunt appears to be back to his dominant ways, and Zach Ertz has a favorable Monday night tilt. Chicken Little Flea Flicker's clear advantage is in the WR dept. They are more superior to Hugh Hefner's as a whole group. If Michael Thomas can get Drew Brees to look his way a couple of times, it could really break this game open for Sarah. Throw in a dominant performance by the Jaguars D/ST, and I think Russ will be the one playing catch up.
It's really tough to call this one. A few boom-or-bust will decide the outcome (specifically Zeke). The only way to really determine a favorite is to go down the roster and compare each player and their match up. Which is why this writer is picking...
Congratulations to both teams! Good luck to you both! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
